With over three decades of experience in fire service and apparatus oversight, Ray Sajdak serves as Managing Partner Consultant at Fire Apparatus Consulting, bringing deep expertise in fire apparatus specification, operations, and compliance.

A retired Fire Lieutenant with the Bristol Fire Department and longtime Chairman of the Fire Apparatus Committee in Portland, CT, he has been instrumental in guiding apparatus purchasing and specification processes since 2005.

He currently also serves as the Fire Marshal for Portland, CT. Ray holds both a Master of Science in Forensic and Fire Science and a Bachelor of Science in Fire Science with a concentration in Fire/Arson Investigation from the University of New Haven.

His comprehensive background in apparatus design, fire investigation, and municipal fire operations positions him as a trusted advisor to departments across the region.

Scott Poulton brings over 35 years of operational, instructional, and leadership experience in the fire service to his role as Managing Partner of Fire Apparatus Consultants.

As a firefighter with the Bristol Fire Department and Captain of Training for the Terryville Volunteer Fire Department, Scott has trained countless firefighters in suppression, rescue, and apparatus operations. He serves as Director of the Wolcott State Regional Fire School, where he develops curriculum and oversees certification training statewide.

Scott’s background also includes logistical leadership at the Connecticut Fire Academy, specializing in equipment procurement and apparatus specification. He played a key role on the Bristol Fire Department Apparatus Purchasing Committee and holds multiple certifications including Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor II, and EPA HAZMAT Technician.
